About Kindred Company

Founded by certified grief facilitator Taylor Bohn, Kindred Company is a holistic wellness practice specializing in grief support, spiritual guidance and end-of-life care.

Kindred Company's Mission & Values

Kindred Company is committed to bringing grief support, end-of-life education, and spiritual wellness to the Northwest Ohio community. Through individual services, community programming, and accessible resources, the practice works to ensure that grief and loss are met with compassion, honesty, and skilled guidance.

The importance of Self.

At the root of this work is a simple but radical belief — that you matter. A whole person worthy of care, attention, and space. Tending to yourself is the foundation from which everything else grows.

We need each other.

Moving through the hardest parts of life in isolation was never the intention. Human connection is part of healing. This is why community is woven into everything Kindred Company is building.

Your path is your own.

There is no right way to move through loss, transition, or the search for meaning. No timeline to follow, no milestone to hit, no version of healing that looks the same for everyone. This practice does not prescribe a path, it walks alongside you on yours.

This work is meant to be shared.

Support, education, and honest information are a right. The experiences this practice addresses are universal, access to guidance through them should be too.

There is more than what we can see.

Human experience extends beyond what can be measured or explained. This practice approaches that truth with both openness and grounded curiosity — holding space for the spiritual dimensions of life. No specific belief system is required or assumed.

Openness is essential.

Growth requires a willingness to question what has always been assumed, to sit with uncertainty, and to consider perspectives that may feel unfamiliar.

Intentionality is a practice.

Every decision, every offering, and every interaction within this work is rooted in purpose. Living and working with intention, aligned with values rather than expectations, shapes everything Kindred Company does.

This work has boundaries.

Kindred Company is not a clinical practice and does not operate as one. When someone needs a level of support that falls outside the scope of this work, that need is recognized and referrals are made with care. Confidentiality is a fundamental part of the trust this work requires and is honored in every interaction.

A letter from Taylor

My path to this work was shaped by a season of loss that touched every part of my life: my career, my identity, my sense of direction, and most profoundly, my dad.

Before he died, I had already begun a process of searching, questioning what I believed, what mattered, and how I wanted to move through the world. That search led to a profound shift in perspective that changed the way I lived. It is also what carried me through his death, through the grief that followed, and through the weight of being completely unprepared for both.

I know what it feels like to be lost. To need help and not know how to ask for it. I know how hard it is to let someone else in during the moments that feel most private. However, what I found is that asking for support is one of the most courageous and necessary things a person can do.

I built Kindred Company to offer what I needed and couldn't find — a grounded, honest space where grief, loss, and life's hardest transitions are held with genuine presence and care. A place to do the work together.

The name Kindred Company was chosen with intention. To be kindred is to share something deep and fundamental with another person, a way of seeing, a set of values, an understanding that goes beyond the surface. Company speaks to presence. To the simple but profound act of not being alone in something. Together, the name holds the entire purpose of this practice, to create a space where people feel genuinely understood, and where the hardest parts of life are faced with someone beside them.

No matter what brought you here — you are welcome. You are seen. And you are never alone.
